Here we drop you some practical tips that will allow you to preserve your garments for a lasting period.
Steps for Washing:
  • 1st Is it necessary to wash the garment? In many occasions is not. Just a quick brush and some ventilation is good enough. In this way the garment deteriorates less and we collaborate with the environment, saving energy.
  • 2nd Read the label instructions for each garment, especially if it is the first time we wash it.
  • 3rd Once we know how to wash it, we must read the manufacturer's instructions for the products we are going to use. If we make excessive use of detergents and softeners, the clothes can stain us and cause skin reactions.
  • 4th Once the garment has been washed, check again the drying and ironing instructions on the label.
Tricks and tips:
If bleach is to be used, never use it in an iron, copper or brass container, and always in cold water. It is advisable to use a whitener to bleach, since the latter creates a greater deterioration of the fabrics.

When you wash by hand, first dissolve the detergent well, once it is well diluted, dip the garment in the water. If it is a delicate garment, it is better not to twist it.

Do not store dirty clothes in closed places, it is advisable to ventilate before storing.

If the garment is damp it is better to wait until it is completely dry.

When washing shirts and T-shirts, first turn the sleeves inside out and pull up the garment necks.

Any garment with a zipper must be closed before washing, the same for the ribbons or laces, it is needed to be tied up first. But when it comes to buttons, it is better to unbuckle them, so when the spinning process comes the garment is not torn.

If a garment has localized spots, whether of coffee, chocolate, ink, etc. it is advisable to remove the stain with the help of a specific stain remover before putting it into the washing machine, but do not experiment with them.

It is always better to wash clothes inside out.

For those delicate garments such us stockings, garments with ornaments, etc… use laundry nets.

Cotton garments if dyed and or printed tend to fade so wash them separately for the first time.

Linen should always be washed by hand and ironed to medium temperature.

Silk fabrics must be ironed at low temperature and without steam. Do not use spin wash programs but always programs for delicate garments.

It is advisable to wash denim clothing separately and inside out because it usually fades, especially the first few times.

Garments with synthetic fibers (lycra, polyester, nylon) are very sensitive to heat. Wash and iron them at low temperatures and inside out.

When it comes to woolen garments, do not wash at very high temperature, it is preferable cold water, this way we avoid shrinking. This fabric usually deforms, so you should use a short spin program and reduced mechanical action. When stretching, do it on a horizontal surface.
